Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- 1 and removed your burden 2 that weighed so heavily on your back, and 3 and granted you an exalted reputation? 4 Then verily along with every hardship is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 8
