Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
