The Embryo (Al-Alaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
