The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
