The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
