In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
