The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
