In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
