The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
