The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
