Destiny (Al-Qadr)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Surely We revealed it on the grand night. 1 And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, upon every command. 4 Peace it is, till the rising of dawn. 5
True are the words of God the Almighty.
