Al-Bayyinah

Proof (Al-Bayyinah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence - 1 (The clear proof is) the Noble Messenger from Allah, who reads the pure pages. 2 In which are written proper affairs. 3 Now those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime did break up their unity [of faith] after such an evidence of the truth had come to them. 4 They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. 5 Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Truly, those who believe and do good works are the best of creatures. 7 Their recompense with their Lord shall be Gardens Everlasting, whereunder rivers flow - as abiders therein for evermore. Well-pleased will be Allah with them and well-pleased will be they with Him, that is for him who feareth his Lord. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
