The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 for your Lord will have commanded her (to do so). 5 On that Day people will come forward in separate groups to be shown their deeds: 6 Whoever has done an atom's weight of good, will see it 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
