Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 when the earth shakes off her burdens, 2 and Man says., 'What ails her?' 3 On that Day it shall proclaim its news, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
