The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" - 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 for your Lord has so directed it. 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
