The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
