Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
