Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
