The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
