The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
