Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
