The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
