The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
