Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
