The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
