The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And therein raising dust. 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
