Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
