The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
