Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 and produce sparks 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
