Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
