Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
