Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
