The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
