The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
