The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
