The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then he whose deeds shall weigh heavier in the scale 6 He will be in a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
