The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The terrible calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 Would that you knew what the Clatterer is! 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 A blazing Fire! 11
