The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the Striking Calamity? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 And mountains will be like flying wool. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A flaming fire! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
