The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The terrible calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 Will have a tranquil life; 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 What will convey to you what this is like? 10 A burning fire. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
