The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Calamity! 1 What is the Striking? 2 What shall let you know what the Clatterer is! 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy, 6 He is therefore in the desired bliss. 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A flaming fire! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
