The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is! 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 shall have a blissful life; 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
