The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the Calamity? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 A Day on which human beings would be like so many scattered moths, 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 shall have a blissful life; 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 A blazing Fire! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
