THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 What shall Make thee know that which the Striking is? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 It is a blazing fire. 11
