Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
