Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
