Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
