Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
