Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
