Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
