Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8
